§ 001 — What is Smootv
One subscription. Everything you'd pay four services for.
Smootv is a premium IPTV subscription running since 2020: live channels, an on-demand film and series library, a working programme guide and human support, on any device, for €11 a month.
What sets Smootv apart isn't a feature list; it's the basics done well. Streams that hold up at peak hour, a library that is actually maintained, and a person who answers when something needs answering. Most subscribers found us the same way: a friend told them.
Built for the hour everyone watches
Infrastructure sized for finals, premiere nights and Saturday evenings. Most of our subscribers came after another provider let them down at exactly that moment.

One login works everywhere. On Smart TVs, boxes and sticks we recommend HOT IPTV Player first and IBO Player second: both activate with the code shown on your screen, so there is nothing to upload. Other players work with the same details. The installation guide covers each device step by step.

IPTV simply means television delivered over your internet connection instead of a cable or a dish. A good IPTV service does what cable used to do, on more devices, for less, without a contract; a bad one freezes on Saturday night and vanishes when you ask for help. The difference is the provider, not the technology.

What you get
An IPTV subscription: live channels across news, entertainment, documentaries, kids' programming and live sport by discipline, plus an on-demand library of films and full series that is refreshed continuously, with a working programme guide and catch-up on supported channels. Content in English, Dutch, German, French and many other languages side by side, which is why so many of our subscribers are households that watch across borders.
How it works
You install a player app on your device and enter the login we send you. The app pulls the live channels and the library from our servers over your normal internet connection; a stable 20–25 Mbps line is plenty for HD, 4K wants a bit more. No box to buy, nothing on the roof, no technician visit.
What we are not
We are not the cheapest name you can find, we don't sell "lifetime" subscriptions, and we don't publish lists of channels or broadcaster logos. We don't run a bot in front of support either. People choose Smootv for the basics done well.

Used from Amsterdam to Sydney.
Smootv works anywhere with a decent internet connection. Our subscribers are mostly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the United States and Australia, with support in English, Dutch, German and French. Billing is in euro for every country. Country pages with local payment methods, tax notes and device tips are being added for every market we serve, and the Dutch, German and French sections are on the way.
