§ 002 — Install

How to install the Smootv app and sign in

  1. Install the app

    Search for HOT IPTV Player in your TV, stick or phone app store and install it.

  2. Note the code on your screen

    On first launch the app shows a code or MAC address. Send it to us in the chat.

  3. We add your Smootv details

    We link your login to the app. Nothing to upload or type.

  4. Watch

    Restart the app and you see live TV, films and series. If anything fails, we stay in the chat until the picture is there.

§ 003 — Licence

Smootv subscription vs app licence

Your Smootv subscription gives you access to the service. The player app is software from another maker and sometimes has its own licence. With a 12-month Smootv plan we activate HOT IPTV Player or IBO Player for you. If the app ever asks for a new activation, your Smootv subscription has not expired: message us and we sort it out.

§ 004 — Tips

Get more out of the Smootv app

  • Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi; HD needs about 25 Mbps, 4K about 50 Mbps.
  • Add favourites in the app so you find them faster.
  • One Smootv login works on all your devices, one screen at a time. For more screens at once, choose a Family plan from €129 a year.
  • Install apps only from official app stores or the makers' own sites.
